From The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department -
Wednesday April 24, 2019, Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at the residence of Barbara Lawson located at Robin Dr New Tazewell after an extensive investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics, along with the help from the CCSO K-9 Team, New Tazewell PD and Tazewell PD.
Upon executing the search warrant, Detectives found large quantities of illegal substances believed to be Methamphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana and an abundance of pills, along with a hand gun and a large sum of money.
46 year old Barbara Lawson of New Tazewell, was taken into custody on the charges of Possession of Schedule II for resale, Possession of Schedule III, Possession of Schedule VI, POSs of Schedule V and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Also arrested was 50 year old Paul Wesley Hartsell of New Tazewell, after K-9 Kira located a small amount of Methamphetamines inside his vehicle.
Both were lodged in the Claiborne County Jail.
