From The Bell County Detention Center -
At approximately 1:53pm Bell County Deputy Adam Southern was dispatched to the Dorton Branch community regarding a single vehicle crash on Highway 221.
Upon arrival Deputy Southern came in contact with 53 year old Teresa Lynn Tigue who was exhibiting behavior consistent with being intoxicated. Tigue had slurred speech, a difficult time keeping her balance using the deputy’s cruiser to lean on, and had a very hard time locating the deputy with her eyes while speaking.
Standard field sobriety tests were administered which Tigue failed. On the way to the Pineville Hospital to give blood, she passed out in the back seat of Deputy Southern’s vehicle.
Teresa Lynn Tigue was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – 2nd offense and careless driving.
