WILLIAMSBURG — A woman is dead and a man is in custody after Williamsburg Police Department responded to a domestic dispute on Betty West Road Friday morning. Dispatch received the call at 7:53 a.m. of the domestic dispute.
The man has been identified as 40 year old Michael Lee Worley charged with the death of his aunt.
Lt. Bobby Freeman was the first on scene and saw a female covered in blood outside of a residence. He also spotted a male suspect that took off running.
Shortly thereafter the male suspect was apprehended and is now in custody.
Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird said at this point they are not sure the manner of death, but the Whitley County Coroner is on scene.
The Commonwealth Attorney and Whitley County Sheriff's Department are also on scene.
The victim and the male suspect have not yet been identified.
